Bennett Thurmond Easterling ‘Buzz’, physically ‘gave out’ on June 1, 2021 at his townhome in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 87. He had been rode hard and put up wet’ during his full life as a Lea County, then Catron County cowboy and Rancher.
Please join the family to remember Ole Buzzy at a visitation which will be held at French’s Funeral Home in Rio Rancho NM, on Thursday, June 10 at 10am in the chapel. Visitation is available from 4-6 the evening before. His final resting place will be in the Pioneer Cemetery in Pecos, Texas next to his Mom (Grandy) and Brother Ross and other family. His Pallbearers will be Cole Easterling, KC Swaim, Henry Rectenwal and Ross Easterling, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice, but these were special to Buzz: Tommie Calley Scholarship at NMMI, USPA Polo Training Foundation, and Quemado Lake Estates’ Scholarship for Quemado High School Seniors.Condolences for the family, stories, pictures and music may be offered online at elcasopolo@gmail.com and will be remembered at the Buzz Easterling Polo Tournament. and Bar-B-Que. I just found out that we’ve lost while nicest man that I’ve ever known he was so good to my mother and me After she moved to Quemado And I know little cowboy little cowboy my grandson grandson Brandon will never forget him get him he was his cowboy idol Please tell all of the family that I know he left a huge gap but he will be filling it from above.
